Description
An organisation that teaches women how to create jewellery from copper wire. Currently a group of about 10 young women manufacture jewellery from their premises in Ng’ombe Compound. They have learned how to solder, etch, enamel, string beads, rivet, fold form, and a myriad of other skills. The organisation has also ventured into gemstone cutting and silversmithing. Foundation for the Realization of Economic Empowerment (F.R.E.E) is excited about using Zambia’s beautiful gems in rough or polished form in their jewellery, whether copper or silver.
