This adrenalin adventure activity is internationally-accredited. Rapids 1 to 9 (morning expedition) have violent rapids only possible to navigate between mid-July to mid-January. Rapids 10 to 25 (afternoon expedition) are slightly less challenging. A lift out of the gorge at rapid 25 is included in the rafting package. For those of good fitness, 15 years or over. Commercial rafting first commenced on the Zambezi River in 1981 and since then this activity has grown in popularity and is now internationally acclaimed.
